Barcodes and QR codes

Scan a barcode or QR code into an item with your camera, or type it in.

Barcode and QR Code fields save a code against an item, so you can look it up later or show it to someone. They're handy for anything with a UPC or EAN on the box, like LEGO sets, video games or vinyl.

Add a barcode field

Add a field to the item and set its type to Barcode or QR Code. See Fields.

Scan a code

1. On the item's Fields page, tap the field (it says Tap to scan a code).
2. Point your camera at the code. Classifier fills it in as soon as it reads it.
3. If the code won't scan, type it into Enter Code Manually instead.

The first time, Classifier asks for permission to use the camera.

See a code

On the item's page, a barcode or QR code field shows the code itself, ready to scan with another device.
